Cratylus’ Hand
Acryl on canvas · 70 × 70 cm · 2017
My first commissioned painting. On behalf my colleagues at the Max Planck Institute I created a painting that I wanted to look fresh and express the joy of eating Italian ice cream in the summer. I worked on it for 5 Months, gradually sculpting a pattern of colours without an up, down, left or right. Cratylus was a teacher of Plato and a pupil of Heraclitus. I wanted the patterns to flow.
