Furious Tessalations
Charcoal and pastel on paper · 110 × 150 cm · 2015
The huge sheet of paper was lying on the wooden living room floor. I had not yet started using canvas. I walked around the paper scanning the surface for the slightest unevenness. A scratch or a dust particle gave me a reason to place a mark. Gradually the marks reached out, became tangents and bounced off, forked, stopped. The balancing between figure and background gave me so much pleasure.
